*sigh* we are tired.

Everyone is exhausted. I can barely keep my eyes open as I write this.

It's been a good trip so far though; however, I still can't believe we're in Uganda. I'm still waiting for it to sink in.

Today was fun... we were able to meet some of the orphans we'll be working with this week. They were all so awesome! =) Some of us even learned some sign language! I'm excited for this week and all that it will bring.

Well, this is all I have to say for now because I need sleep.

More pictures to come soon!! =)

Goodnight from Jinja.

  2. Hey Jess,
I'm glad you made! I have to say it is weird knowing that when we are starting our day you are ending yours. I'm glad you had a awesome first day. Keep up the posts and take lots of pictures. Kristopher and I were talking last night about what an amazing writer you are.
    Love, Mom
P.S. Have you warmed up yet? :)

  3. TIRED is awesome! God's just getting started with you all. I hope your sign language has nothing to do with the one way sign to Jesus. That would be inappropriate considering your mission whilst there. Hope you all are feeling better. My children have you seriously covered in the best prayers ever!

  4. Hi Jessie. Just proud of you and trying to imagine all that you are experiencing half a world away. Hope you feel well and got some rest to adjust to the schedule. Praying for you and love you. Dad

  5. Hey Jessie, this is so exciting! Tell us what you're teaching these kids about photography. Will they have access to cameras after you leave? Sounds like you had a looooong first day, but a successful one (i.e., you got there!). Your mom says you're an amazing writer, so write more on the blog and tell us about the kind of ethnic food you're eating (isn't it just like an overweight person to ask about the food? ha ha) and are sleeping in beds, or cots, or sleeping bags? And are there lots of creepy crawly things all around? Tell all, girl! Love you tons, Aunt Kathy
